PROF. DR. J. HENK COERT
Dept. Plastic Surgery UMC Utrecht
Henk Coert is a plastic surgeon dedicated to the care hand, wrist and peripheral nerve problems. After his residency, he obtained an ACGME accredited add-on qualification in hand surgery at the NYU and Mount Sinai Medical Centers in New York City.
His current position is professor and chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery at the UMC Utrecht.
He has served as president of the Netherlands Society for Surgery of the Hand and as Editor of the Journal of Hand Surgery (European Volume). Currently I am the Vice Secretary General of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society and a member of the editorial board of three other peer reviewed journals. From 2018 until 2020 he will be part of the council of the American Society of Peripheral Nerve.
He has published around 90 peer reviewed articles and several book chapters. Besides his clinical work and research, he values teaching very much demonstrated by his involvement in numerous courses nationally and internationally.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR DR. JOOST W. COLARIS

Joost Colaris finished his doctoral degree in medicine at the university of Leuven and graduated cum laude at the University of Leiden. In 2010 he became an Orthopedic surgeon. Since then he is working at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam focused on elbow, wrist and hand pathology. After a training in hand and wrist surgery at the department of Plastic Surgery at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, he passed the FESSH examination (Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand) with a best diploma award in 2014. Thereby, Joost successfully defended his thesis ‘Forearm fractures in children’ at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2014. He published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and is currently active in research and education of (post) traumatic disorders of the forearm and wrist. Thereby, he is board member of the association for Orthopedic hand surgeons. Furthermore he is member of the faculty of several courses focusing on hand and wrist surgery for both adults and children.

Of special interest in this area is peripheral nerve entrapment, which may be treated surgically in selected patients. Previous research projects were all peripheral nerve related.

DRS ANANDI VAN LOON
Rehabilitation Specialist Hand & Pols Revalidatie Nederland
Anandi finished her doctoral degree in medicine and graduated cum laude at the Vrije University of Amsterdam in 2009. She specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2016 and has been certified by the European Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. Before medicine, she gained her Bachelor of Arts at Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts and has worked as a professional dancer and performer in several television and musical theatre productions. For many years she worked in The Medical Centre for Dancers and Musicians where her special interest in Performing Arts Medicine was developed. She is currently working as a rehabilitation doctor in Hand Wrist Centre for patients with complex hand and wrist problems and also as the health coordinator at Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts.
